‘Islam Is A Cult, Not A Religion’, Country Outright Bans Islam

In a very controversial decision, Angolan authorities have decided to ban Islam, which they reportedly consider a cult rather than a religion.

Reports indicate that authorities see what Muslims are doing to people outside of their religion, particular in Africa, and are taking appropriate steps to prevent the same from happening in Angola.

As a first step, Angolan authorities decided to destroy the mosque Zango, located in the urban district of Viana.

The governor of Luanda Bento announced in a local radio spot that radical Muslims are not welcome in Angola. He also promised that the government is ready to take action where needed, including preventing the legalization of mosques.

“Regarding Islam, the legalization process has not been approved by the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights,” Rosa Cruz e Silva, the Minister of Culture, told reporters. “Therefore, all mosques would be closed until further notice.”

The closing of mosques has been made a priority by the government, in fact. The only two mosques in Luanda have already received a warning.

95% of Angola’s population is Christian, with a quarter belonging to Protestant churches founded during the colonial period.

This action is reportedly based on a desire to guard against the rise of the Wahhabi ideology, which is already creating havoc and destruction in Africa and throughout the world.
